ARE YOU BUILDING YOUR LIFE ON CHRIST? ON HIS WORDS? --- or will your house fall in time of trial and testing.

We are going to be tested.
We are going to be tried.
It is a given...
Clearly taught by Christ himself, is the truth that STORMS WILL COME.
So we must take thought NOW...as to whether we have built our lives on Christ and His Words: HE IS THE ROCK and HIS WORDS, OUR FOUNDATION. To disobey them, is to build on a faulty foundation....SINKING SAND.


IT'S NOT TOO LATE IF YOU ARE READING THIS... (smile)

Do you feel sometimes that you can't get a foothold?

That the rains wash away everything you attempt to do (build)?

That the winds that blow distraction and fear and bad reports around about you are about ready to BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN?

A HOUSE may look perfectly FINE...STRONG...WELL-BUILT...BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE. IT'S WHAT IS BELOW THE SURFACE that gets tested when the storms come.

YES....I am learning this from experience...

IF THE FOUNDATION ISN'T SOLID - WHAT WE HAVE BUILT WILL FALL.

Friends/Loved Ones,
I implore you, in Jesus' name, to PREPARE NOW if you are not feeling you are IN A STORM. SO THAT WHEN ONE DOES COME, you will stand strong, not sway, not be blown to bits...

I just feel God wants me to share the importance of this song in this hour.


SEEK AND FIND THE ROCK...FIRST.
THEN BUILD ON HIM: JESUS CHRIST.


BUILD ON HIS WORDS (familiarize yourself with scriptures that build faith and confidence in your Lord!)

BE PREPARED to be DOER and not a hearer only, for it is the obedient man who is the WISE MAN; not the one who is just familiar with Christ.

IT WILL BE TOO LATE IF THE STORM COMES and YOU'VE NOT BUILT YOUR HOUSE ON HIM.

So, NOW is the time. NOW is the day of your salvation.

HEAR AGAIN:
Matt 7:24,26
(Matthew 7:24) "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:"

(Matthew 7:26) "And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:"

I think of the old chorus which shares the same sentiment:
"On Christ the Solid Rock I STAND, all other ground is sinking sand....all other ground is sinking sand."

We are building on something.
It's either on that ROCK solid foundation - or its not!

Looking only at the surface both of these men would be commended in their accomplishments. They both built a HOUSE. But we must be careful in commending people until they go though some testing.

HAVE YOU TAKEN THE TIME TO SEEK AND FIND THE ROCK?

HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE ASSURANCE OF HIS ABILITY TO HOLD YOU UP?

HE is enough my friends. HIS WORDS are enough...
TO BUILD YOUR LIFE UPON.


If we wish to end with Christ, we must begin with Him.

(1 Corinthians 3:11) "Remember, there is only one foundation, the one already laid: Jesus Christ."

(Isaiah 28:16) "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste."

(Luke 6:49) "But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great."

PLEASE NOTE SOMETHING ABOUT THE FOOLISH MAN:
He did not perish because he was lazy or indifference to his need of a shelter.
He did his very best, but his best was not good enough.

(Isaiah 5:21) "Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!"

(Isaiah 64:6) "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

Works may be many and beautiful, but if Jesus is not the foundation of all, "one thing thou lackest," and lack of this one thing renders uselessness and fruitless every other thing.

Great was his loss...

It was too late to build another house when the flood came.

(Malachi 4:1) "For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch."

(2 Thessalonians 1:8) "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:"

Will you stand the test?

You will only weather the STORMS if you have built on The Rock (Jesus) for he has stood the test and won the victory.
